Woman’s Ministry

Josh grew up on the central coast of California. He graduated high school in 2000 and found Jesus in 2002 at Calvary Chapel of Santa Maria. Shortly after getting saved, Josh went to Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta, CA where he graduated in 2004 with an AA in Biblical Studies.

CCBC is also where he met his wife, Jessica. The two were married in May of 2005 and moved to Jessica’s home state of Washington where they lived in the small town of Lynden and attended Calvary Creekside for eight years. While at Calvary Creekside, the Claborns served in numerous ministries including young adults and middle school.

The Claborns moved to Charleston in 2014, with a call and a desire to serve Jesus and love His people, specifically with a calling to West Ashley. After planting Calvary SouthCoast in 2014, that church merged with Declaration Church in Mt. Pleasant in January of 2016. After four years in Mt Pleasant, the church relocated to West Ashley. In March of 2020, the church was renamed Calvary Chapel of West Ashley.

Josh and Jess have four kids, two of which are boys and two girls: Jude, Rylie, Adrie, and Grey, along with a dog named Jack. All of their kids attend local schools in West Ashley.

Garrison

Childrens Ministry Assistant

Travis is from a small farm town in Western Kentucky and previously served four years in the United States Air Force. Crystal is from central Georgia, and the two of them met while at work here in Charleston. They were married in 2015 and now live in Hanahan. Currently, Travis works as a project manager while Crystal works as a management consultant. The Garrisons have three children. The Garrisons serve CCWA in many ways, being the hands and feet of this church that no one sees. They do many things behind the scenes, and we love having them a part of the team here at CCWA.
